Even seasoned managers face trouble knowing what to do in increasingly complicated employee situations. This intensifies when a manager has never had training. For a new manager these problems are amplified. From a business perspective, the simplest solution is to train managers in the basics of HR compliance. This would include the basics of employment law, how to write documentation and how to use the tools of employee development. This would be the most economical plan of action an employer can implement to nullify unwarranted employment claims. For productivity and compliance reasons which include employee development and engagement, a manager should be adept to handle all situations that they may face from day one on wards. This would also help in safeguarding their careers. Majority of unwarranted employment claims often begin from miscommunication, misinformation, and mismanagement. Training your managers on the basics of HR compliance is the safest options from a HR perspective.
