This webinar will provide an environmental scan that points to the need for creative and new approaches to work and jobs. Further we will discuss and examine the implication for HR and for Training and Development, by identifying the new or enhanced competencies that managers and hr team members will need to possess and that will provide the mindset that will allow flexibility to be a tool AND BENEFIT, not a punishment.

However, flexibility is difficult to achieve and may lead to new issues and concerns. Some areas of business may resist and indicate that it isn’t suitable for them or their business. Our challenge is to determine if there is a way that all businesses can apppreciate and support “flexibility.” Why? Because as WE MOVE to a workfoce that includes 5 generations of workers it is one of the tools that will provide opportunties for bridging the communication and cultural gaps this diversity presents.
This topic requires creativity and non traditional approaches to business as usual. It launches that element of HR that is relatively uncharted and perhaps even unproven and yet it is an issue that has been on the hearts and minds of employees (across all levels of the organization) for severalyears and now other factors of demographics and economics are forcing business to transition the concept from discussion to reality. It offers an opportunity for reaching new talent pools and for enriching the lives of employees and their families as it offers solutions to real practical business issues of managing costs and meeting new demands for extended hours of client and customer sales and service. It additionally offers businesses the opportunity to leverage technology and to capitalize on their strengths and to be more proficient utilizing TECHNOLOGY TO DELIVER BOTTOM-line results.
